Richard Stevens Chairperson, Pride in Gloucestershire

Biography:

Richard (he/him) is the chairperson of Pride in Gloucestershire (UK) and has been involved in the running of Pride organisations and supporting our LGBTQ+ community for the last 11 years. He has also previously been involved in running community volunteer-led events since 2002.

In his day job as an Accountant, Finance Manager and senior leader, he works with directors and management teams to develop and implement organisational strategy and developing team engagement.

He has also presented workshops at several national LGBTI+ networking conferences and has played a key part in driving the initiatives at Pride in Gloucestershire to improve accessibility and inclusion; as a result, they now have a management team of 20 and also 35 event volunteers.

Hawys Jones Volunteering Manager, Pride in Gloucestershire

Biography:

Hawys (she/her) is Pride in Gloucestershire’s Volunteering Manager. She has spent years working within the LGBTQIA+ Community, volunteering and running a number of projects, including queer choirs, safe spaces at larger events, and rainbow socials and chairing organisations such as The LGBT Partnership and Gloucestershire County Council’s PRISM Internal LGBTQ+ Network. She sits on a number of equality and diversity panels within Gloucestershire and the South-West of England and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and skills with an international audience.
