Safe space at work and education: the rise of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility as corporate values

Biography:

Mrs. Tsaltampasi is the CEO of OECON Group of Companies, which includes companies in Greece and abroad, as well as President of the Greek Association of Women Entrepreneurs – SEGE and President of the Energy Cooperative WEnCoop. She actively supports Female Entrepreneurship and the Promotion of Women in all sectors of the Economy through S.E.G.E., as well as other positions she holds.

She is the A’ Vice President of AFAEMME – Association of Organizations of Mediterranean Businesswomen, the President of the Balkan Women Coalition (B-WCo). Additionally, Mrs. Tsaltampasi is a member of the Financial Committee of Women20 (W20) and holds the position of Advisory for G7 related to the W7 agenda. 

She actively participates as a Member of the European Innovation Council (EIC), which offers a programme to improve skills and networking for women entrepreneurs and researchers supported by the EIC, the Women Leadership Programme (WLP) and she is also a Member of the WEgate Committee’s Thematic Group on shaping European Policies for Women Entrepreneurship. She is the first person from S.E.E. Region ever elected in the Board of European Association of Innovation Consultants.

She is a PhD Candidate at University of Macedonia, within the field of Female Entrepreneurship as a Factor of reaching the 17 SDGs. She holds a Master’ s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Macedonia and she is certified by national and international bodies on providing consultancy services. Moreover, she holds a Diploma in Association Management – CIPE (Center for International Private Enterprises) while in 2011 she was elected as a Fellow of ASAE University – Washington DC. She has great experience and expertise as she has participated and successfully led some of the most successful projects of both OECON Group and SEGE. At the same time, she also participates in two corporate schemes as a Business Angel. 

She combines the fresh spirit with a great business and work experience, which is proven by the awards that have been given to her. Mrs. Tsaltampasi was awarded the title of Ambassador of Women Entrepreneurship in 2010 by the European Commission for her dynamic action in the field of promotion of women entrepreneurship, and acts as Coordinator for the National Network of Ambassadors. She was also honored in 2014 with the title “Women Motivator in Mediterranean” and in 2018 she received an honorary award, from the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece – K.E.D.E., for her overall contribution to women’s entrepreneurship. Mrs. Tsaltampasi was a Finalist for EUSEW 2022 Awards in the Category of “Women in Energy”. Last but not least, as president of SEGE and WEnCoop, has led WEnCoop to international recognition, and to win the National and European Award, of the category “Green Transition”, in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards – EEPA 2022.

Biography:

H Δρ Ζέφη Δημαδάμα διδάσκει ως Ειδικό Διδακτικό Προσωπικό στο Τμήμα Διεθνών, Ευρωπαϊκών και Περιφερειακών Σπουδών στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο και είναι κάτοχος Διδακτορικού και Μεταπτυχιακού Διπλώματος στο επιστημονικό πεδίο “Περιφερειακή Ανάπτυξη και Πολιτικές Περιβάλλοντος”.

Έχει διατελέσει Γενική Διευθύντρια του Διεθνούς Κέντρου Μελετών Ευξείνου Πόντου και έχει σημαντική παρουσία σε Διεθνή Φόρουμ και επιστημονική συμβολή σε ερευνητικές δραστηριότητες με αντικείμενο την Οικονομία, την Ανάπτυξη, το Περιβάλλον και τα ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα.

Είναι Αντιπρόεδρος Γυναικών του Ευρωπαϊκού Σοσιαλιστικού Κόμματος (PESWOMEN) και επικεφαλής εκ μέρους των Γυναικών του ΕΣΚ του Δικτύου για την Κλιματική Αλλαγή και το Περιβάλλον και Πρόεδρος του Παραρτήματος Αθηνών της Ένωσης Γυναικών Ελλάδας (ΕΓΕ).

Επιλέχθηκε να συμμετέχει στην εκπροσώπηση του Ευρωπαϊκού Σοσιαλιστικού Κόμματος στα Ηνωμένα Έθνη τον Μάρτιο 2023, ως Αντιπρόεδρος Γυναικών και πρώτη ελληνίδα στην αποστολή από το Ευρωπαϊκό Σοσιαλιστικό Κόμμα στον ΟΗΕ και στην 67η σύνοδο της Επιτροπής του ΟΗΕ (UN CSW67) τον Μάρτιο μεταξύ 6-17/2023.

Δραστηριοποιείται διεθνώς σε ερευνητικές και ακαδημαϊκές συνεργασίες που αφορούν στην Κλιματική Αλλαγή, τη Βιώσιμη Ανάπτυξη και το Περιβάλλον καθώς και στα Ανθρώπινα Δικαιώματα και την Ισότητα των Φύλων.

Είναι συγγραφέας δυο μονογραφιών «Οικονομία, Ανάπτυξη, Περιβάλλον. Θεωρητικές Προσεγγίσεις και Πολιτικές Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης» (Εκδόσεις Παπαζήση 2008), και “Βιώσιμη Οικονομική Ανάπτυξη. Η Ενσωμάτωση των 17 Στόχων του ΟΗΕ. Οικονομικές και περιβαλλοντικές διαστάσεις”. (Εκδόσεις Παπαζήση, 2021) ενώ συμμετέχει σε ατομικές και συλλογικές επιστημονικές ανακοινώσεις σε ελληνικές και διεθνείς εκδόσεις.

Ειναι επίτιμο μέλος της Συμβουλευτικής Επιτροπής του Διεθνούς Κέντρου Μελετών Ευξείνου Πόντου (ΔΙΚΕΜΕΠ) και της American Meteorological Society (AMS) – Ad Hoc International Committee for Meteorology and Climate change, Board on Enterprise Economic Development, Βοστώνη, ΗΠΑ. Ειναι μελος της Διεθνούς Ένωσης Περιφερειακής Επιστήμης (European Regional Science Association-ERSA) καθως και μέλος του Οικονομικού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδας (ΟΕΕ) και Συνδέσμου Ελλήνων Περιφερειολόγων (ΣΕΠ).

Biography:

“Chris Folwell is Global Head of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Awareness at Uber.  He’s focused on making sure the Global DEI strategy is relevant across the EMEA region as well as Uber’s Global Mobility business.  He has worked for a range of organisations across multiple sectors, in roles ranging from DEI, HR, Ops Leadership, Product Development, and Brand Management. 

He’s passionate about using data to tell stories and influence people to take action. Outside of work, you’ll find him making music, traveling the world and walking in local parks in Amsterdam, where he lives with his boyfriend and two dogs.”

 

Charles Gerciane Senior HR Director Global Regions, Service & Repair at Medtronic

Biography:

Gerciane Charles is the Senior HR Director for Global Regions Service & Repair at Medtronic, where she has been contributing her expertise since 2008. With nearly two decades in Human Resources and sixteen years at Medtronic, Gerciane’s professional journey is marked by her dedication to fostering inclusive and diverse work environments. She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Jean Moulin in Lyon, France, and a Graduate Degree in Management from HEC Montreal, Canada. Gerciane’s rich educational background also includes a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Industrial Relations from the University of Montreal.

Born in Haiti and having lived in Canada, France, the United States, and currently Switzerland, Gerciane brings a broadened cultural perspective that enriches her professional and personal life. Describing herself as resilient, empathetic, and analytical, she is passionate about collaboration and building relationships.

Biography:

Η Δήμητρα Κογκίδου είναι καθηγήτρια της Ψυχολογίας στο Παιδαγωγικό Τμήμα Δημοτικής Εκπαίδευσης (ΠΤΔΕ) του Αριστοτέλειου Πανεπιστήμιου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ).  

Τα ενδιαφέροντά της επικεντρώνονται σε θέματα: 

  • Σπουδών φύλου (με έμφαση στην αντισεξιστική εκπαίδευση, τις έμφυλες ταυτότητες, τις διακρίσεις με βάση το φύλο/την ταυτότητα φύλου/το σεξουαλικό προσανατολισμό,    την έμφυλη βία, την ομοφοβία /τρανσφοβία στην εκπαίδευση και τον έμφυλο διαχωρισμό των παιχνιδιών), 
  • Οικογενειών και πολιτικών για τις οικογένειες (με έμφαση στις μονογονεϊκές και Οικογένειες  Ουράνιο Τόξο) και 
  • Καταπολέμησης της φτώχειας και του κοινωνικού αποκλεισμού. 

Είναι  συντονίστρια του Δικτύου των Επιτροπών Ισότητας των Φύλων στα ΑΕΙ.  

Διετέλεσε Κοσμητόρισσα της Παιδαγωγικής Σχολής στο ΑΠΘ, Διευθύντρια του Μεταπτυχιακού Προγράμματος Σπουδών στο ΠΤΔΕ, Πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Ισότητας των Φύλων του ΑΠΘ, κ.ά.

 

Antony Kontellis Senior Director of People & Culture at Coca-Cola Company and Leader of Coca-Cola’s LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Network in Europe

Biography:

Antony is currently a Senior Director People & Culture at The Coca-Cola Company, and also Leader of Coca-Cola’s LGBTIQ+ Inclusion Network in Europe. His international career includes 20 years of diverse experiences working in Europe, Australia, Middle East, Asia, Africa, and America in a range of industries including Aviation, FMCG, Luxury Fashion, Law, Commercial Property, and Consulting. He has worked across multiple HR disciplines – HR Business Partnership, Talent Management, Learning & Development, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Talent Acquisition. Antony believes in the power of true inclusivity, role modeling, leading in an authentic human-centric manner, and giving back. He currently resides in Athens with his husband.

Biography:
George joined PwC in 2017, from Barclays Capital, to enhance the firm’s Corporate Finance capabilities and drive the establishment of a leading M&A platform in Greece. His expertise spans across various industries and products having advised on a variety of domestic, foreign and cross border transactions across Equity & Debt capital markets and M&A. He holds an MSc in Logistics Trade and Finance from City University CASS Business School in London and a BSc in Economics from the University of Piraeus.
As the I&D Leader, George shapes PwC’s mission to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered. He is dedicated to fostering belonging, diversity, and participation, aiming to ensure an equitable environment across genders, generations, abilities and orientations.
