The other runs on the axis South-North, connecting Athens and other cities in Central Greece with Evzoni (border crossing to North Macedonia) and the rest of the European network. There is one more northeast connecting highway to Bulgaria via Promachonas, expected to be free of border control by the time of EuroPride 2024, as Bulgaria has joined Schengen.
